Perfect place with perfect panorama
This semi-detached farmhouse, dating from the 17thC, has been recently renovated and overlooks a beautiful valley. Simply but tastefully furnished the house offers a warm and comfortable retreat from the stress and strains of modern living. 3 minutes in the car from Cossignano and 8 from Montalto, the immediate area offers very good restaurants and local shops where you can stock up with the region's specialities. In 20 minutes you are on the beach at Grottammare, Cupra Marittima or San Benedetto del Tronto and in 40 the Sibillini Mountains await you. The area is abundant with beautiful and enchanting villages and historical towns.
It is the perfect holiday home for an escape to the country with a large terrace and loggia where you can wine and dine or just relax in the sun. Casa Rigo is close to the coast and its beaches bordered with “chalets” offering delicious but affordable food. A perfect escape from the resorts' festive nightlife while not being too far for a midnight swim. The house is near to a quiet main road, protected from traffic noise, at the end of a lane and overlooks the valley below - with its vineyards, olive groves, sunflower plantations, apple orchards and particular rock formations called calanchi.
Initially our friends were rather surprised when we chose to put the bedrooms on the ground-floor and the living area on the 1st....for us it was a logical move. Cool bedrooms during the hot summer are a bonus while you can enjoy magnificent views from the 1st floor with its large terrace. The roofed loggia leading off the two main bedrooms is ideal for the afternoons for those who prefer to stay in the shade. There are two lounges on the first floor – one with a library of books in various languages, a satellite TV and dvd/vhs . In the library you will also find plenty of information regarding the area, its history, attractions and dates of local festivals. In the other, known as the “Quiet Room” you will find the stereo deck and a wide range of cd music from Schubert and Shearing to Italian artists such as Battiato and Battisti as well as French favourites from the sixties. In the sideboard popular games can be found both for adults and children to enjoy. The kitchen is well equipped should you decide to stay at home for a meal and if you need inspiration many cookery books can be consulted. Casa Rigo: near enough to historical landmarks, shops and banks yet secluded to "stop the world I want to get off", the area provides so much to see, discover and experience - a place for your very own special venues to remember, a place for split-second images to cherish and a place never to forget. As the Italian Tourist Board says "Italy's best-kept secret" and you will want to keep it that way....
